Enathu makal kelvi kedpaval is a collection of Tamil political poems by Katpakam Yasothara (pseudonym of Pratheeba Thillainathan) containing issues that are relevant to current politics here in Canada as well as Sri Lanka. It is written from the point of view of a 1st generation diaspora mother and a daughter in the backdrop of the Eelam War from years 2006 to 2009. Yasothara’s book tries to explore the settler responsibility in this Indigenous Land, West’s hypocrisy in Omar Khadr’s case, Caste and class Privilege in escaping war, to name a few.
